What is the Conversions API (CAPI) and how is it different from a pixel? +

A pixel runs in the browser and can be blocked by ad blockers or ITP. The Conversions API sends the conversion event from your server directly to the ad platform (Meta CAPI, Google Ads server-side, Bing). We use both together with deduplication for complete, resilient measurement.

Server-side for Google Ads, Meta, and Bing — what are the differences? +

Each platform has its own server channel: Google Ads (server-side via sGTM / Google Ads API), Meta via the Conversions API, and Microsoft/Bing via Offline/Server-to-Server. I implement the right connector for each platform while maintaining a single source of truth in the GTM server container.

Do I really need a GTM server container (sGTM)? +

It's the most robust option: a server-side GTM container hosted on a first-party subdomain that orchestrates event forwarding to all ad platforms. This is what I deploy and maintain for you.

Does server-side tracking stay resilient to GDPR? +

No. Technically it could be used to track without consent, but that's not allowed. I configure the server-side setup to strictly honor user consent choices from your consent banner (Consent Mode v2).

Will I see more measured conversions? +

Yes — typically a 10–20% increase in measured conversions as soon as the setup goes live, thanks to better signal capture. There's no artificial inflation: we're simply recovering conversions that were already happening but going untracked.
